Taking carbon out of the factory
The group’s steel frames will be manufactured using JCB’s hydrogen technology and net-zero hybrid power solutions. That reduces the carbon footprint of the manufacturing process, taking carbon out of the factory as well as the finished home.
Green 4 thanks JCB and its team for bringing together an offering that fits the group’s own ethos.
How the frames are made
duoKore® is a precision-engineered system, and its core components are manufactured rather than improvised on site. Precision cutting reduces material waste and improves resource efficiency, and suppliers are chosen for lower-carbon products.
Production is built around modular roll-forming cells. Each cell holds everything needed to make the steel components of the system, and cells can operate independently and be replicated as production requirements grow, so capacity follows confirmed demand. For work that suits it, the group’s flying factory can manufacture on site.
